CIE Entrepreneurship Program Students Attend Venture Breakfast and Event with Renault Alliance Chairman & CEO



The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship recently partnered with SD Forum and the Churchill Club to provide Undergraduate and Graduate Entrepreneurship Program students with the opportunity to attend several events in January as a guest of the CIE. These events included the Churchill Club's The Future of Clean Transportation with Carlos Ghosn, Renault-Alliance Chairman & CEO (shown above with moderator Raymond Lane, Managing Partner of Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers) featuring his discussion of the Renault-Nissan Alliance launch of the first of seven electric vehicles including the all-electric Nissan LEAF.

Join us for the Winter Quarter CIE Speaker Series on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, featuring Tim Bucher.


Tim Bucher is a serial entrepreneur who has created several successful companies over the last 23 years, taking one of them public and selling four others for over $1 Billion in cash. His expertise lies in consumer products and services with an eye for exceptional consumer user experiences.


Mr. Bucher may be the only person in history who has served in an executive role for Bill Gates at Microsoft, Steve Jobs at Apple, and Michael Dell at Dell, learning how those leaders innovate and expand businesses. His story is one you won't want to miss.

SCU Ring Knockers Event Features Guest Speaker Marc van den Berg

SCU Ring Knockers Engineering Alumni will host a meeting December 8, featuring Success Story Guest Speaker Marc van den Berg, Managing Director, Venture Point Venture Partners.


Vantage Point Venture Partners has deployed over $5 billion since its inception in 2996 and emphasizes investments in the energy, materials and infrastructure through its cleantech practice.


This event will be held 6:30 pm-9:00 pm in Bannan Engineering Lab.
